Russell Reed, graduated from the ADN program at Trinity Valley Community College in 1995. He is currently the nurse manager of psychiatric services at Richardson Regional Medical Center in the Dallas area. He has worked there as a staff nurse and charge nurse in the psychiatric and chemical dependency departments before becoming nurse manager. He serves on the staffing effectiveness, peer review, management, counsel, and employee recognition committees.

Russell was nominated twice for Agnes M. Hays Award for Nursing Excellence and was the first RN to reach RN3 on the clinical ladder which includes management, patient education and quality assurance.

Russell also works part-time in medical and internal medicine to keep up skills. He volunteered as Head Camp Nurse at Camp Summit for 7 ½ years.

Russell is a radio Co-Host for “Doc Shop” with Dr. Paul Hamilton live on FM 105.3 at 9 a.m. Sunday mornings. He is a CPR instructor, attends Kaufman Church of Christ, and is a Youth Minister at Methodist Church of Texas in Terrell.

He does training for PMAB (Preventive Management of Aggressive Behavior) at Boles Home and is a medication consultant there. He is one of 2 PMAB trainers at Richardson Regional Medical Center. On a personal level he is married with 3 children, ages 6, 3, and 1, and coaches T-ball and soccer.
